Hanoi's February CPI stood at higher than the country's average level. The city's Department of Planning and Investment estimated that its GDP growth in Q1 could reach 8.7 percent, a two-fold increase against 3.1 percent of Q1 of 2009.
Reportedly, Hanoi's February CPI rose by 2.61 percent month on month, higher than Vietnam's average 1.98 percent and HCM City's 1.68 percent CPI growth.
Do Ngoc Hai, vice head of Hanoi Statistic Office predict that the city's CPI in March could rise by 0.5-0.7 percent against February.
