HSBC, VNPOST sign cooperation deal

Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corp (HSBC) and Vietnam Post Corp (VNPOST) yesterday August 26 signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation in linking services, connecting system and providing banking services.
Under it, VNPOST with the spreading network will provide mandated collection and spending in dong for corporate or individual customers who have accounts at HSBC. In return, through VNPOST, HSBC's transaction point base in Vietnam will be increased to 20,000.
On the other hand, HSBC covers more than 9,500 branches in 85 nations and territories, which will create conditions to promote the bilateral cooperation in fields of transferring foreign currencies, overseas remittance between Vietnam and other countries.
HSBC will supply synchronic solutions on monetary management including management on transparency, receive, spending and money flow to VNPOST.
