11-OCT-2008 Intellasia | Dau Tu Chung Khoan page 6
Oct 11, 2008 - 7:00:00 AM
Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HASTC) announced that it would organise a tender for the G-bonds worth 1.8 trillion dong. The bond will be issued in October by Vietnam Development Bank (VDB).

These are 900 billion dong in three-year bonds and another 900 billion dong in 5-year bonds.

Since the start of this year, due to the stock market slump, banks' ceiling interest rate was raised to 19% per annum while the coupon rate of bonds stood at 11-14% per annum so that the bonds became less attractive for investors.

However, in the current context that banks are racing to lower lending rates, specialists expected that VDB could successfully 1.8 trillion dong in the October issue.
