Khalid Bin Mohamad Al-Attiya, Qatar's minister of state for international cooperation and acting minister of business and trade held discussions with leaders of Vietnam Bank of Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) on March 15, 2010 and discussed about establishing a joint venture bank in Vietnam.
During the working session, the two parties re-evaluated the implementation process to realise the cooperation agreement signed between Vietinbank and Qatar's partners after Vietnamese prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung's official visit in March 2009, and set up strategic cooperation relationship between the bank and Qatar's financial institutions on the basic of sharing profits, business opportunities for Vietnamese community in Qatar.
