US dollar price on Hanoi's free market yesterday continued falling by 40 dong per US dollar from 19,260-19,300 dong/US dollar to 19,300-19,340 dong/US dollar.

With the price, US dollar marked the depreciation of total 300 dong/US dollar from ending Lunar New Year. The downward trend of US dollar price partially showed the positive impacts of State Bank of Vietnam's (SBV) intervention into the monetary market.
Meanwhile, the interbank forex rate was 18,544 dong/US dollar and the rate of commercial banks continued standing at 19,080-19,100 dong/US dollar.

Last week the interbank trading turnover totalled approximately 84.645 trillion dong and $1.529 million, averaging 16.929 trillion dong and $305 million a day, declining 944 billion dong and $37 million compared with the previous week.
