Vinashin to equitise 16 subsidiaries in 2008

May 10, 2008 - 7:00:00 AM Vietnam National Shipbuilding Industry Corp (Vinashin) recently announced that within this year it would finish equitisation for 16 its subsidiaries including four enterprises directly under Vinashin namely Nam Ha shipbuilding mill, Can Tho Waterway Transportation Co, Phu Yen Agriculture & Fisheries Industry Co and Quang Binh Ship Industry Co that will be finished equitisation in the second quarter of this year.

Vinashin now runs 103 membership enterprises including two independent companies, ten one member state-run limited companies, 22 state-owned enterprises to change to joint stock company model, 14 subsidiaries, 11 relevant firms, seven entity firms, seven dependent companies and 30 joint stock companies.
