World Bank funds land administration reform

The State Bank of Vietnam has tasked Vietcombank with implementing a US$75 million land administration modernisation project.

The World Bank-funded project will be carried out by June 2013 in nine provinces namely, the northern provinces of Thai Binh, Hung Yen and Ha Tay, the central provinces of Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa, and the Mekong Delta provinces of Tien Giang, Ben Tre and Vinh Long.

The project aims to establish a modern system for registration, management and issue of land use certificates that will be transparent and accessible to the public.
