SCIC to reduce state capital in over 200 companies in H2

State Capital Investment Corp (SCIC) has reported gaining total revenue of over 1.039 trillion dong and 868.9 billion dong in pre-tax profit in the first half of 2009.

Till June 20, SCIC sold state capital in 66 companies with total book value of sold stake of 152.3 billion dong and the real value collection of 229.92 billion dong. This means that the average selling price was 1.5 times over par value. As planned, the corporation will cut state capital in 272 companies in 2009.

In H1, SCIC bought 10 percent into Quang Ninh thermo power plant that is expected to come into the national grid by this September.
Also, the corporation is cooperating with other investors in building Long Thanh airport project, Thu Thiem financial hub in HCM City and Finance Tower project in Hanoi.
