| Kuwait fund extends $14m loan to Vietnam |

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) has signed a loan agreement worth $14 million with the government of Vietnam for the construction of a highway in Dien Bien Province, Kuwait Times reported.
Kuwait Embassy's in Hanoi quoted Ambassador Hamad Al-Jutaili as saying that the highway construction project was one of several in Vietnam that Kuwait had financed since 1976 through infrastructure loans.
KFAED was represented at the signing of the agreement by its deputy director general Hisham Al-Waqian and Regional director for East and South Asia and the Pacific Waleed Al-Bahar.
