Head of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)'s, Vu Tien Loc and representatives from 13 organisations of 11 Asian economies took part in the Asian Business Summit in Tokyo on March 15.
The conference was held by Japan's Keidanren to discuss the measures to enhance the regional economic integration through commercial liberalisation and investment, cooperation in developing infrastructure, climate changes, energy development and intellectual ownership right protection.
Also the summit aims to promote the cooperation between private companies of regional countries and strengthen the economic partnership between Japan and Asian neighbouring nations.
At the conference, the president of f the Japan Business Federation Keidanren Fujio Mitarai said that previously US and Europe drove the world's economy. But in the first half of 21st century, the active economy in Asia will create strong changes for the current global economy model.
The proposals from the conference will be submitted to Japanese prime minister Yukio Hatoyama as well as the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Conference scheduled in Japan within this year.
