SMEs receive sponsored fund of 15b yen

The management board of ODA funded projects, State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and 17 financial institutions of state-owned commercial banks, joint stock banks signed the framework agreement about re-lending the third phase of small and medium-sized enterprise funding programme (SMEFP 3) with total credit value of 15 billion yen.

The Japanese government-funded SMEFP project has been carried out for two phases by Japanese Bank of International Cooperation (Jbic) since 2003 with total medium and long term investment capital of 9 billion yen. In the SMEFP 3, the qualified financial institution has also increased from nine institutions in SMEFP2 to 17 units.
