Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet has concluded an official visit to Laos after "fruitful" discussions with his Lao counterpart and other officials, the state-run Vientiane Times newspaper reported Friday.
During his three-day visit that ended Thursday, Triet met with Lao President Choummaly Sayasone and discussed national security and defence issues, as well as actions to prevent cross-border crime.
The two leaders also agreed to continue cooperating in the search for Vietnamese volunteer soldiers missing in Laos since the Indochina war.
