Singapore's Tyco plans to invest US$50m in north

Singapore's Tyco Electronics Co managed by Tyco group plans to invest SU$50 million in building a factory of producing computer products, information equipments and household appliances such as automatic equipments in Bac Ninh northern province's Que Vo Industrial Zone, said the foreign firm's general director Lim Hong Guan.

Tyco now is preparing legal applications to ask the investment license and completing the design of first factory.

Tyco was licensed to rent 6.5 hectares of land in Que Vo IS to build the factory.

By August, the factory will be built on a site of 2.5 hectare with the production line imported from Singapore and will be put into operation by the middle of 2009.

In addition, Tyco also plans to build an international shopping office to develop the service supply system for production in Vietnam.
