According to general Department of Statistic, there were about 123 million telephone subscribers all over the country till the end of December 2009, up 51.3 percent against the same period of last year, in which 18.1 million are fixed telephone subscribers, increasing by 28.4 percent and 104.9 million of mobile subscribers, up 56.1 percent.
The figure of internet subscribers in Vietnam up to December 31, 2009 was estimated at 3 million, a year-on-year increase of 45.5 percent, while the whole country's Internet users in 2009 was at 22.9 million people, up 10.3 percent against the same period of 2008.
Vietnam's net revenue from post and telecommunication services in 2009 was reported at 94.9 trillion dong, increasing by 39.7 percent against the previous year.
