Bulgaria's deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, Marin Raykov, has reported on the successful outcome of talks to boost the countries ties with Vietnam.

Raykov, on an official visit to the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, has agreed with his counterpart, Vguyen Thanh Son, that the two countries will continue to develop their relations, especially in the areas of economics and commerce.

Their talks on Tuesday concerned the implementation of bilateral agreements reached during Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov's visit to Hanoi in January 2009.

The diplomats also discussed arrangements for a forthcoming visit by Vietnamese leaders to Bulgaria, and met with the Vietnamese deputy prime minister, Pham Gia Khiem.

Deputy minister Raykov said he was delighted with Vietnam's socio-economic achievements in recent years. He expressed his belief that the traditional relationship between the two countries and the two ministries would be boosted and developed.
