Gas turbine No 2 at Nhon Trach gas-fuelled power plant commissioned

Jul 29, 2008 - 7:00:00 AM The second gas turbine at the Nhon Trach Gas-fuelled Power Plant was successfully kick-started in the afternoon of July 23. The turbine is in the run-in period and other equipment is being adjusted for an official linkage to the national grid on July 26.

The first gas turbine of the plant was officially handed over by EPC contractor Lilama to its investor, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Electricity Corp on June 30 and is generating electricity to the national grid.

Workers are also urged to boost efforts so that the steam turbine will be completed by February 2009 and the whole combined cycle of the plant will become officially operational by March 2009.
