Vietnam, Argentina set up joint venture to develop windy power projects

PetroVietnam Power Corp and Argentina's Pescarmona Metallurgical Industries (IMPSA) yesterday in Hanoi signed a detailed agreemnt on producing and developing windy power projects and hydropower projects in Vietnam.
Under it, both signatories will set up a joint venture to manufacture equipments for power projects.
Earlier PV Power and IMPSA inked a five year cooperation deal to build a windy power plant with the designed capacity of 1,000 MW covering 10,000 hectares in Binh Thuan province's Bac Binh Dist. The plant will be equipped a generation IMPSA Unipower IWP Class II with capacity of 2.1 MW. Total investment capital for the wind project is estimated at US$2.5 billion dong.
