Hanoi invests 70b dong to build Ngoc Hoi Bridge

Hanoi People's Committee has issued Decision No 3197/QD-UBND approving the construction project of Ngoc Hoi Bridge at Km 186+300, National Highway No 1A with expected investment of 70.8 billion dong. The investment procedures of the project is planned to be finished in Q3 of 2009.

The People's Committee has assigned Hanoi Department of Transportation to be the main investor. The purposes of the project are to replace the old, degrading bridge, to improve and strengthen the traffic capacity and to reduce traffic accident risks.

The new bridge will be 24 metres long, with surface width of 46 metres divided into six traffic lanes for motor vehicles, four lanes for non-motorised vehicles, pavements and separations.
