Kinh Bac Urban Development Joint Stock Co (coded KBC) reported that it has been licensed to build a power plant in Bac Giang province through setting up a power investment joint stock company with Vietnam Coal and Mineral Group (Vinacomin).
Vinacomin would contribute 45 percent in the associated company and would be responsible for supplying coal and input materials to the factory.
The power project will be carried out with a total cost of 800 billion dong. A part of the electricity production output of the plant will be sold to Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and majority will be sold to corporates and customers in Bac Ninh province's Que Vo Industrial Zone, Bac Giang province's Quang Chau IZ at the price of UScent 6-7 pr kWh against the price of UScent 4 per kWh of electricity that Pha Lai thermo power plant sold to EVN.
Within this month, KBC will collect shareholders' opinion on the capital contribution in the power investment joint stock company.
