EVN purchases 3.095b kWh of power in Jan

During the first month this year, due to unpredictable and unfavourable weather conditions for electricity system operation, national electricity system ensured providing enough power and stabilising the demands.

Average power consumption output of the whole system reached 249.5 million kWh per day, the highest consumption output reached 261.1 million kWh on January 29.

In January, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) produced and purchased totally 7.481 billion kWh power. Of which, EVN produced 4.385 billion kWh and purchased 3.095 billion kWh (including 423 million kWh being purchased from China).

Commercial power was 6.269 billion kWh (including 6.339 billion kWh being sold to Cambodia) and electricity for production activities accounted for 52.48 percent (it was 48.45 percent in 2009), electricity for management and consumption accounted for 38.32 percent (it was 41.97 percent in 2009).
