Cai Mep-Thi Vai port project adjusted

Deputy prime minister Hoang Trung Hai on March 9 proposed total investment limit for Japan funded Cai Mep-Thi Vai port development project as one of big projects around Thi Vai river, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. The project is slated to 2012.
The project includes Cai Mep container port with two 80,000 dwt wharfs, Thi Vai general port, 37.2-kilometre long bouy system, bridges and a 8.5 kilometre linking road from National Road 51 to Cai Mep port.
Total cost for the project is estimated at 11.473 trillion dong with the construction time of four-years from 2008 to 2012.
