661b dong to build Rao II Bridge in Hai Phong

Hai Phong City People’s Committee, Hai Phong Bridge PMU on March 10 officially kicked off work on Rao II Bridge over Lach Tray river, linking Nguyen Van Linh St with Pham Van Dong St.

Total expense for the project is estimated at 661 billion dong. Of which, 24.45 million euro (600 billion dong) comes from Netherlands’ ODA supply and Vietnam’s corresponding capital is 61 billion dong.

The bridge is designed to be 248 metres long, 25.5 metres wide for four lanes. Design consultant for the project is the Joint Venture between Finnroad Consulting Co-Wsp (Netherlands) and Transport Engineering Design Inc (TEDI).

The construction is expected to finish in 21 months from the starting date.
