Steel export tariff hiked to 20%
06-AUG-2008 Intellasia | VnExpress
Aug 6, 2008 - 7:00:00 AM

The common export tariff on steel items subject to the category 7204.50.00.00, 7206 and 7207 will be raised to 20% instead of the current 10% according to Decision 64 signed recently by the finance minister Do Hoang Anh Tuan, which will be applied on customs declaration from August 10.

The domestic steel price was limited at the lowest level so some businesses re-exported the huge steel billet that was previous bought for reserve, affecting to the price stabilisation capacity.

In the end of June, the export tariff on the item was hiked from 2% to 10%.
