Foreign contractor to be allowed operating in construction field in Vietnam

Ministry of Construction (MoC) recently sent documents to the HCM City Department of Construction and Hanoi Department of Construction on tender licensing to foreign construction contractors in Vietnam.
According to MoC, the issue of the Decision No 87/2004/QD-TTg dated on May 19, 2004 by the prime minister on management regulation of the operation of foreign contractor in construction sector in Vietnam is based on the item 4, clause 7 of the Law on Construction 2003.
Under it, tender licensing to foreign construction contractors for operation in Vietnam is in line with the Law on Construction, Tender Law and the Decree No 58/2008/ND-CP dated on May 5, 2008 guiding the implementation of tender law.
