Ministry of Finance has issued a guideline about extending the deadline for enterprises to pay value added tax on imported goods under the Decree No 85/2009/TT-BTC.
The importing enterprises that have been in operation in at least 365 days up to the date of receiving registration license for customs declaration with no trade frauds, tax debt and fully conducting financial report in time would be eligible for an extension of 180 days for paying value added tax on their imported goods of machines, equipment, spare parts, specific means of transportation.
The new regulation would be applied on goods declared on the customs fill-in form dated from May 1 to December 31, 2009.
