The France-based firm Reed MIDEM, an organiser of international tradeshows, is calling for local property companies to attend a real estate exhibition named International Market for Property Professionals, also known as MIPIM Asia.
The exhibition will take place at the convention and exhibition centre in Hong Kong from November 18 to 20.
MIPIM Asia is a conference and exhibition event focused on real estate in the Asia Pacific, providing a close look into the regional property market, encouraging investment and facilitating deals across the region between investors, Germain Daleau, the company's sales manager, told a recent presentation in HCM City.
The fourth edition of MIPIM Asia this year will include investment opportunities throughout the Asia Pacific region covering segments such as architecture, retail, hotel and tourism investment and sustainable development, according the organiser.
Do Thi Loan, general secretary of the HCM City Real Estate Association (HoREA), said the event would offer a chance for local real estate companies to promote their brands and find foreign partners for projects here in Vietnam.
Last year the event attracted some 2,000 participants from 46 countries around the world, including 22 companies from Vietnam.
The forthcoming exhibition also includes awards for property projects In the Asia Pacific region, recognising outstanding ones for their innovative, technical, environmental and architectural qualities.
The organiser said MIPIM Asia Awards, which is open for entries, would be presented to property projects that have been completed between November 2008 and November 2009, featuring categories such as business centres, hotels and resorts, mixed-use buildings, residential developments, shopping centres and green buildings.
There will be 21 finalists to be selected in September this year, and the deadline for entries is July 31, according to the organiser. The award ceremony will be held on November 19. Over the past two years, the awards have attracted 160 entries from 20 countries, with 17 of them honoured at the MIPIM Asia event.
