Laos jungle survivor not well enough to travel
05-SEP-2008 Intellasia | ABC News

The father of a man who was lost for 11 days in a jungle in Laos says it is too early to say when his son will be well enough to return to Australia.

Hayden Adcock, 40, remains in the intensive care unit of a Bangkok hospital, but his condition is improving. His father Stan Adcock, who lives on the Sunshine Coast, says while his son is making a remarkable recovery it will be some time before he is well enough to travel.

"There have been a few different reports but I think probably they'll have to take him out of intensive care and have him on food for a few days before he returns," he said.

"Also they're looking to do some skin grafts on his terrible wounds that he's received all over his body, so that might take a bit of time too."
