Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd is eyeing a 10 percent sales growth for its financial year 2011.

"We are aiming to be the market leader with a 10 percent sales growth of RM2 billion in the 2011 financial year," its new managing director Jeff Lee Wee Leong said.

The announcement on Lee's appointment, effective April 1, was made at a ceremony here today.

He is the first local managing director, replacing Tony Endoh, who served in that position for the past two years and nine months.

Panasonic Malaysia's current financial year will end this month and sales are expected to record RM1.7 billion compared to RM1.5 billion in 2008.

According to Lee, the company is expected to post a sales growth of 10 percent for financial year 2010.

"We are constantly challenging ourselves to be better than the competitor and the staff have worked hard to achieve the sales," he said.
