Vietsovpetro JV's 2008 oil mining output could exceed 600,000 tonnes

Vietsovpetro joint venture's oil mining output in 2008 will reach 7.7 million tonnes, higher 600,000 tonnes against the year's plan, according to the general director Tran Le Dong.

Up to the end of this month, the output is estimated at 5.81 million tonnes, accounting for 81.9% of the year's plan, of which 5.1 million tonnes were from Bach Ho (White Tiger) oilfield and 695,200 tonnes from Rong (Dragon) oilfield.

As targeted, the turnover from crude oil export of VSP is expected to be US$6.5 billion.
