Indonesia's Bayan says lifts force majeure on coal mine

Oct 7, 2008 - 7:00:00 AM Indonesian coal miner PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN.JK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said it had lifted force majeure imposed after heavy rain disrupted production at its Wahana coal mine.

However, the company said in a letter sent to the stock exchange on September 25 it is in the process of recovery and is "still trying its best to restore the production capacity in the shortest possible time".

Bayan Resources declared force majeure on September 16.
