Crude oil export gains 8.35m tonnes in Jan-Jun

PetroVietnam reported that its crude oil production in Jan-June grew by 20 percent to 8.65 million tonnes of crude oil and its export was up 18 percent year-on-year to 8.35 million tonnes.

Because the world's crude oil price stood at $54 per barrel, so the crude oil export of the group only brought in $3.38 billion, declining over $2 billion from the same period of 2008.

The crude oil supply to Dung Quat Refinery in the period was estimated at 383,000 tonnes.

In the last months, the group targets to reach the crude oil output of 16 million tonnes, 8 billion cubic metres of gas, crude oil export of 12.05 million tonnes and supply 3.5 million tonnes of crude oil to Dung Quat Refinery.

Also, PetroVietnam plans to attain the average production of 35-40 million tonnes a year and start exploration and drilling in new oilfields namely Nam Rong, Doi Moi offshore Vietnam and D30 and Block 305 of Dana oilfield offshore Malaysia.
