PetroVietnam optimistic on 2010 business and production

Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam – coded PVN) announced fulfilling all the targets that had been set for January 2010.

In details, the total oil production volume was posted at 1.99 million tonnes, equal to 105 percent of January plan, the crude oil volume of 1.21 million tonne, or 102 percent of the plan. The group's total revenue in January was estimated at 26.98 trillion dong, equivalent to 115 percent of January plan and increasing by 36 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the group has earned export turnover of $730 million, or 121 percent of the plan for January. Noticeably, the average oil price in January was posted at $80.5 per barrel, up $38 against the same period of last year.

In February, PVN targeted to earn total revenue of 24.15 trillion dong, in which the group planned to achieve export turnover of $550 million. Within this month, PVN planned to start construction on Ha Long Trade Centre and PVC-Fecon concrete plant.
