Korea Electric Power Corp said it signed a partnership agreement on uranium mining with Areva SA.
The deal follows the utility's purchase of a 10 percent stake in a uranium mine in Niger, the firm also known as Kepco said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.
Korea Electric said on December 10 they would buy new shares to be issued by a unit of Areva which owns the Imouraren mine.
