Total, Inpex to supply gas to Pupuk Iskandar Muda

Total E&P Indonesie and Inpex Corporation, contractors of the gas-rich Mahakam block in East Kalimantan, have signed an agreement to continue supplying gas to fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) in Aceh.

Total and Inpex will supply a total of 3 trillion British thermal unit (TBTU) of gas in 2010, Total said in an-emailed statement on Sunday.

In 2009, Total and Inpex also supplied 9 TBTU of gas to PIM.
Total has operated in Indonesia since 1968 with its main focus in the offshore Mahakam block in East Kalimantan. In 2009, the block produced as much as 2.56 billion cubic feet of gas per day and 99,900 barrels of oil condensate per day.
