The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) today April 21 opened a new week by seeing another fall on the stock market when the VN Index slipped another 2.39 points or 0.44% to end at 534.92 pts with the total matching order trade of 5,289,080 shares and fund certificates worth nearly 261.659 billion dong, decreasing 46.44% in trading volume in comparison with the previous session.
The southern bourse today welcomed a new share code namely BMI of Bao Minh Joint Stock Corp with 75.5 million shares at the reference price of 48,000 dong per share and plus or minus 20%. Ending the first trading session, BMI-coded shares were traded at 38,400 dong per share.
Among 154 shares and fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market recorded 39 shares increasing, eight others remained unchanged and 107 shares decreasing.
Out of top ten shares with the largest market capitalisation, five shares increasing namely VNM and PVD up 2,000 dong to 126,000 and 115,000 dong per share, ITA and PPC leaped 500 dong to 70,000 dong and 40,000 dong and VIC bounced 1,000 dong to 92,000 dong per share.
Meanwhile, DPM suddenly fell 1,000 dong to 52,000 dong, followed by FPT lost 2,500 dong, STB slipped 700 dong to 37,500, SSI and HPG dropped 1,000 dong to 55,000 and 65,000 dong per share.
DPM took the pole place in trading volume with 789,090 shares and followed by SSI with 536,830 shares, PPC with 401,520 shares and STB with 203,040 shares being traded.
Foreign investors bought 64 share codes with the total trading volume of 2,460,930 shares. DPM reached the biggest trading volume with 482,420 shares and followed by PPC with 381,530 shares, SSI with 357,670 shares and others including PVD, FPT, VSH and VTO.
Similarly, the Hanoi Securities Transaction Centre (HaSTC) today April 21 kept falling on the stock market when the HaSTC Index slipped another 2.44 points or 1.36% to end at 177.33 pts with the total market trade of 2,727,300 shares worth nearly 119 billion dong.
Amongst 134 listed shares on the northern bourse, the stock market saw 26 shares increasing while 96 others decreasing, seven shares stood still and five shares with no trades.
Seven shares stood still including BBS, CTB, GHA, HNM, KBC, L62 and VC3.
Five shares with no trades were CID, HSC, LUT, NGC and VE9.
MIC continued being the biggest gainer when adding 2,300 dong and followed by SCJ up 2,000, DTC leaped 1,500 dong and HLY up 1,200 dong per share.
ACB was the strongest decliner as losing 2,500 dong and followed by VSP lost 2,300 dong, S99 dropped 2,100 dong and SD2 lost 1,900 dong.
ACB reached the biggest trading volume with 309,400 shares, followed by PVS with 265,800, PVI with 253,600 shares, L62 with 183,000 shares and others with below 100,000 shares.
