VN Index slips 3.53 pts

Ending the trading session today April 24, the 1773rd trading session of the Vietnamese stock market, the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) continued falling when the VN Index lost another 3.53 points or 0.67% to 518.42 pts with the total matching order trade of 6,821,040 shares and fund certificates worth over 276 billion dong, marking the fifth consecutive decreasing session on the stock market.
Among 154 shares and fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market recorded 25 shares increasing, eight others remained unchanged and 121 shares decreasing.
Out of top ten shares with the largest market capitalisation, three shares reached the ceiling price namely VNM up 2,000 dong to 128,000 dong and two others up 1,000 dong including DPM and ITA to 51,500 dong and 69,000 dong per share.
STB and PPC slipped 700 dong to 35,400 dong and 37,800 dong per share and other decliners like SSI, FPT, HPG and VIC.
There were 19 share codes reaching the ceiling price including ABT, TCR, TRC, HIS, LBM, TAC, VTO and IMP.
STB regained the pole place in trading volume with nearly two million shares and followed by DPM with 765,670 shares, PPC with 303,760 shares, VFMVF1 with 291,430, SBT with 232,310 and others like SSI, ITA, HPG and VID.
Foreign investors bought in 67 share codes with the total trading volume of 1.5 million shares, of which DPM reached the biggest trading volume with 372,040 shares, PPC with 143,360, ITA with 88,260, HPG with 64,160 and others such as VIC, TRC, SSI and VNM.
Similarly, the Hanoi Securities Transaction Centre (HaSTC) today April 24 kept falling impetus on the stock market as the HaSTC Index slipped another 2.33 points or 1.37% to end at 168.07 pts with the total market trade of 4,843,600 shares worth over 192 billion dong.
Amongst 135 listed shares on the northern bourse, the stock market saw 14 shares increasing while 110 others decreasing, one share stood still and ten shares with no trades.
BCC remained unchanged at 17,400 dong per share.
Ten shares with not trades were CAP, CID, CTB, DST, HBE, HSC, KMF, NPS, VBH and VE9.
14 shares increasing were BHV up 600 dong, DAC +800, HCC +100, HLY +500, KBC +100, LBE +500, MIC +2,500, PLC +100, PPG +200, SAP +300, TBC +200, TJC +500, VFR +100 and VTS leaped 300 dong per share.
BVS and S99 showed the biggest decline as losing 2,200 dong per share and others lost below 2,000 dong per share.
PVS reached the biggest trading volume with 582,900 shares and followed by ACB with 542,700 shares, KLS with 396,600, PAN with 215,600 and TLT with 161,200 shares being traded.
