* Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) recently approved the PetroVietnam Engineering Joint Stock Co (coded PVE) and the Education Books Joint Stock Co in Hanoi (coded EBS) to list additional shares on the northern bourse. Under it, PVE would list 48,000 shares at 10,000 dong par worth 480 million dong on the northern floor on July 30.

* Long An Food Processing Export Import Co (Lafooco-coded LAF) recently announced that it would pay at 6% dividend in cash for the first phase of this year on August 25. The registration deadline to receive dividend is on August 4.

* STC-listed Tuong An Vegetable Oil Joint Stock Co (TAC) recently announced a profit of 5.15 billion dong in the second quarter of 2008 and nearly 831 billion dong in revenue, bringing the total figures during the first half of the year to nearly 1.687 trillion dong and 60.73 billion dong respectively.

* Rang Dong Lamp and Thermo Flask Joint Stock Co (coded RAL) reported that in the first six months of this year, it earned 432.125 billion dong in net revenue from sales and service provision (including 186.35 billion dong of Q2), increasing 4.04% or 16.795 billion dong year-on-year, 44.22 billion dong in after-tax profit (11.63 billion dong made in March-June), jumping 50.08% or 14.755 billion dong against 2007.

* The State Securities Commission (SSC) on July 18 granted a certificate No 312/UBCK-GCN for the Nha Rong Insurance Joint Stock Co to sell shares to the public. Under it, the HCM City-located company with a chartered capital of 160 billion dong was allowed to offer 34.72 million ordinary shares at 10,000 dong par worth 347.2 billion dong in the total to the existing shareholders, employees and strategic shareholders.

* Listed firm Cable and Telecom Material Joint Stock Co (coded SAM) reported its foreign shareholder Amersham Industries Limited sold 750,490 among 4,201,651 SAM coded shares between July 8 and 16, 2008, reducing its size in the local firm from 6.42% down to 5.28%.

* Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate Joint Stock Co (Sacomreal) recently announced that the matured date for the company's bonds is on July 31. These six-month Sacomreal bonds at the face value of 500 billion dong were issued on January 31, 2008. The principal and interest will be paid once when due.

* Phu My Garment Factory in the central province of Binh Dinh has paid US$30,000 to send a shipment to the US by air for rear that it would miss the deadline for delivery, Nguyen Van Tien, deputy director of the factory said as explaining that recently power cuts has affected the factory's production schedule.

* WinBrothers, a Korea-invested garment and textile company, was maintaining operation in HCM City's Dist 12 on Monday though it had no business registration certificate as required by law.

* Kirby Southeast Asia Co will inaugurate a US$15 million pre-engineered steel structures factory in Nhon Trach 3 Industrial Park in the southern province of Dong Nai in early August. The factory will be able to turn out 50,000 tonnes per year.

* Nam Viet Bank on July 22 issued domestic credit card named NaviCard-Credit and domestic debit card named NaviCard-Debit. With NaviCard-Credit, users can spend money first by the bank's capital in the limitation of from 10 million to 100 million. As for NaviCard-Debit, customers can spend money directly on their accounts but they still get the interest rates.
