Stock market ends week by a 6.33-point fall

The Vietnam's central stock market today July 25 closed a week with an unsatisfactory session, marking the sixth consecutive decrease after a short chain of recovery. Particularly, the index of Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) fell 6.33 points or 1.45% to 429.46 pts with the total matching order trades of nearly nine million shares and fund certificates worth 311.3 billion dong.
Among 158 shares and fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market saw 27 shares increasing, four stood still at the reference price and 127 decreasing.
Out of top ten largest capitalised shares, three reached the ceiling price namely VIC up 2,000 dong to 101,000, VPL +3,000 to 112,000 and HPG +1,400 to 49,400 dong per share together with others like SJS, PET, TSC, HSI,.BMC, LBM and COM.
Meanwhile, STB lost 600 to 22,400 dong, VNM slipped 3,000 to 99,000, ITA and PVD down 2,500 to 84,500 and 90,500 dong per share, SSI dropped 1,300 to 43,600 dong and DPM tumbled 1,000 to 52,000 dong per share.
Three shares reached the trading volume of over one million shares namely DPM with 1,249,960, SSI with 1,220,020 and STB with 1,209,220 and followed by HPG with 712,350, PET 375,270, FPT 290,860 and PPC with 227,800 shares being transferred.
Similarly, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today July 25 also tumbled on the stock market when the HaSTC Index lost 0.49 points or 0.35% to end at 140.85 pts with the total market trade of 4,750,380 shares worth nearly 188 billion dong.
Amongst 145 listed shares on the northern bourse, the stock market witnessed 18 shares increasing, eight with no trades and 119 decreasing.
Eight with no trades were HSC, L62, LUT, NPS, SDC, STC, SVC and VE9.
18 gainers were DAC, DTC, HLY, KBC, NGC, NST, S99, SCJ, SD5, SDA, SDS, TJC, TV4, VBH, VCS, VSP, VTS and YSC.
PVS reached the biggest trading volume with 848,700 shares, followed by ACB with 753,200 shares and PVI with 235,300 shares being traded.
