Phu Nhuan jewellery firm to list shares on STC

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) on August 5 announced that it received enough documents from Phu Nhuan Jewellery Co (coded PNJ) to list 30 million shares at 10,000 dong par on the southern bourse.

HCM City-located the company with a chartered capital of 300 billion dong operates in such fields as verifying diamond and gemstone, producing and trading jewellery and real estate sector.

During the first six months of the year, PNJ's total revenue reached 1.95 trillion dong, up 40% from a year ago and fulfilling 68.42% of the year's plan and 69.1 billion dong in profit, rising 17% from 2007.

Last year, PNJ made a total revenue of over 2.233 trillion dong, 129.324 billion dong from pre tax profit.

At present, PNJ's network has been expanded to 85 shops that could be 100 units at the end of the year.

Earlier, the company advanced dividend of 8% in cash for the first phase of 2008.
