VN Index regains 7.19 pts

After three declines, the Vietnam's central stock market today August 6 rallied thanks to the recovery of many blue chip shares. In particularly, ending the trading session today, the VN Index regained 7.19 points or 1.67% to 437.45 pts with the total matching order trades of over 16.4 million shares and fund certificates worth 493.753 billion dong, an increase of 58% in volume and 22% in value.
Among 156 share codes and four fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market saw 103 shares increasing, 12 stood still at the reference price and 45 decreasing.
Eight of top ten market capitalisation shares reached the ceiling price such as DPM, FPT and HPG up 1,500 dong to 56,500 dong, 66,500 and 56,000 dong per share. VNM and VIC added 3,000 dong to 103,000 and 108,000 dong per share, PVD leaped 2,500 to 94,500, PPC jumped 800 to 27,600 dong per share.
STB increased 600 dong to 22,300 dong per share with the biggest trading volume of nearly 3.86 million shares, followed by PET with 919,370, DPM 856,490, SAM 832,650, VTO 467,210 and VF1 with 467,010 shares being traded.
ITA, SSI and VPL stood still at the comparative price. other gainers were REE, SJS, VSH and BMI.
Losers were TCM, DQC, RAL, VNS, MPC and HAP.
Like the southern bourse, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today August 5 also rallied on the stock market when the HaSTC Index recovered 1.18 points or 0.88% to close at 134.71 pts with the total market trades of 11,301,600 shares and fund certificates valued at over 357 billion dong.
Amongst 146 listed shares and fund certificates on the northern bourse, the stock market witnessed 58 shares decreasing, five with no trades namely CID, CTC, HEV, HSC and KMF, 11 stood still including CAP, HNM, LTC, MEC, PJC, PSC, QNC, SRB, STC, VC5 and VTL and 72 increasing.
VSP continued being the biggest gainer when adding another 4,300 dong, DTC up 3,200 and MIC and RCL jumped 2,300 dong per share.
Meanwhile, KBC showed the strongest decline when losing 5,200 dong per share, MMC dropped 2,700, SCJ tumbled 1,400, PAN down 1,300, BVS slipped 1,200 dong per share.
PVS stood at the pole place in the trading volume with 1,578,400 shares, followed by ACB with 1,339,800, KLS with 785,300, PVI 442,300, SDT 352,900, SDA 344,800 and NVC with 311,400 shares being changed hands.
