VN Index rises by 1.38 pts

Influenced the increasing impetus from previous sessions, the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) to day August 7 continued increasing on the stock market when the VN Index up 1.38 points or 0.31% to end at 438.83 pts with the total market trades of over 17 million shares valued at 572.313 billion dong.

Among 160 shares and fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market recorded 72 shares increasing, 31 stood still at the comparative price and 57 falling.

Top ten largest market capitalisation shares were main agents caused impacts on the VN Index when four shares decreasing and two stood still at the reference price. Particularly, STB down 500 dong to 21,800 dong, DPM stood still at the comparative price, VIC and VPL lost 1,000 to 107,000 dong and 118,000 dong, ITA fell 2,000 to 77,500, VNM up 2,000 to 105,000 and HPG leaped 1,000 to 57,000 dong per share.

STB reached the biggest trading volume with over 2.5 million shares, DPM with nearly two million shares, SSI with over 1.38 million, HPG over 1.1 million shares, SAM 832,610, VF1 569,110, TCM 392,390, MPC 360,560 and VTO with 355,070 shares being traded.

Conversely, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today August7tumbled on the stock market when the HaSTC Index lost 1.26 points or 0.94% to 133.45 pts with the total market trades of 8,768,400 shares worth over 250 billion dong.

Amongst 146 listed shares and fund certificates on the northern bourse, the stock market saw 32 shares decreasing, four with no trades namely CID, HEV, HPS and HSC, five stood still including DST, LBE, MCO, SDC and VC6 and 105 increasing.

VSP continued being the biggest gainer when adding another 4,500 dong, DTC up 3,300, RCL added 2,800, MIC jumped 2,700, HLY bounced 2,200 and ACB bounded 1,900 dong per share.

Meanwhile, KBC showed the strongest decline when losing 4,800 dong, MMC lost 2,600 and SCJ down 2,200 dong per share.

ACB stood at the first place in trading volume with 882,300 shares, followed by BLF with 713,900, BVS with 691,300, PAN with 597,000, PVS with 482,300 and KLS with 415,800 being transferred.
