Yesterday, the foreign investors' purchase volume was 622,260 shares worth 21.39 billion dong while they sold 1.289 million shares for 60.735 billion dong. Thus, the sell-off volume was two times higher than the buying volume. Particularly, the foreign investors purchased 76,000 PVF shares, 50,000 PPC shares and 50,000 DPR coded shares and offloaded 200,000 SJS shares, 180,000 PVD shares, FPT and DPM coded shares.
Statistics showed that the total value of STC listed shares, which is held by foreign investors at the moment, gained 36.448 trillion dong or US$2.15 billion, accounting for 22.31% in volume and 24.32% in value of the southern bourse. Regarding the HASTC, the investors now keep more than 9.278 trillion dong or US$550 million, making up 13.54% in volume and 17.52% in value of the floor. In both stock trading bourses, foreign investors now hold US$2.69 billion of securities while the market's capitalisation has reached about US$11.95 billion dong.
Foreign investors favoured STB, VNM, DPM, SSI, PPC, PVF, VFMVF1, HPG, and PVD, ACB, VCG, KBC, VNR, PVI, BCC and BVS.
Reported by Securities Depository Centre, during the first 11 months of 2008, the centre granted securities code to 12,624 foreign investors including 874 institutional and 11,750 individual investors. Last month alone, the centre granted the code to 90 foreign investors including 73 individuals and 17 institutions.
