* Song Da 25 Joint Stock Co (coded SDJ) has earned 9.73 billion dong from auctioning 666,900 shares among the planned volume of 1,323,200 shares to the public, Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) announced on Friday February 5.
* The northern bourse-listed Song Hong Construction Joint Stock Co (coded ICG) announced that February 23 would be the registration deadline to close the list of shareholders for advanced dividend payment of 16 percent in cash.
* Wall Street Securities Joint Stock Co (coded WSS) announced to reach 2009 net revenue of 94.33 billion dong, and profit after tax of 65.22 billion dong.
* Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) has announced that the G-bonds bidding session issued by State Treasury on February 4 has failed due to failure of calling for investment capital source and negotiation about coupon rates.
* Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) announced that February 25 would be the registration deadline to close the list of shareholders of CMC Technology Group Joint Stock Co (coded CMG) for 2009 dividend payment.
* Chair of State Securities Commission has issued Decision No 85/QD-UBCK approving for Kenanga Vietnam Securities Co to open its new branch in HCM City.
* Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Joint Stock Corp (Sabeco) has recently announced that the company will close the list of shareholders on February 22 to advance 12 percent dividend in cash for 2009.
* Vietnam Enterprise Investments Limited has registered to sell over 2.6 million shares of HCM City Infrastructure Investment Co (CII) to decrease its ownership from 6.2 percent to 1 percent. Binh Trieu Bridge Construction Joint Stock Co has also registered to offload 650,000 CII shares during three months from February 3 via matching or put-through.
* Saigon Beer Transportation Co has got approval in principle to trade eight million shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange.
* Sam Cuong Material Electric & Telecom Corporation has sought approval to list its stock on the northern bourse. The enterprise is capitalised at 25 billion dong.
* Viglacera Ha Long Co(VHL) has announced February 10 as the ex-right date to advance 2009's second round dividend of 16 percent in cash for shareholders. The enterprise reached over 63 billion dong in after-tax profits last year, a 41 percent year-on-year increase.
* High Grade Brick Tile Co has been allowed in principle to trade 4.6 million shares on the northern bourse.
* PetroVietnam Construction Corporation (PVX) has decided to issue 92.5 million shares for existing shareholders to increase its chartered capital to 2.5 trillion dong.
* Do Thanh Technology Co (DTT) has been allowed to trade over 2.9 million additional shares on the southern bourse.
* Ending the year 2009, Underground Works Construction Joint Stock Co (coded CTN) reported gaining 590.654 billion dong of revenue, fulfilling 111.99 percent of the year's target and 19.487 billion dong of profit, achieving 129.91 percent against last year's plan.
* The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) has recently said that the demand of fertiliser for agriculture production in 2010 will be about 8.9-9.1 million tonnes.
* Nghi Son Oil Refine Co Ltd has issued the international bidding procurements for the only one bidding package of building Nghi Son oil refinery.
* Tam Tri Tourism and Construction Investment Co Ltd is the main investor of a resort complex in Binh Thuan province. The new resort complex would be sited in Tan Thang Commune, Ham Tan Dist and have total investment capital of about 150 billion dong.
* Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC)-listed Ha Tien Cement Joint Stock Co No 2(coded HT2) has recently reported business results in Q4 2009 with 509.69 billion dong of revenue, up 51.24 percent against previous quarter whereas the company's after tax profit fell over 61.2 percent to 15.52 billion dong.
* Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Co officially opened the new Cephalosporin pharmaceutical plant that specialises in producing new types of antibiotics with designed capacity of 1 billion products per year yesterday February 5, 2010. The project's total investment capital was posted at 120 billion dong.
* Foxconn Group will start work on mobile phone manufacturing project worth of $200 million in Q2 of 2010 in Vinh Phuc province, the chair Terry Gou announced.
* Thien Long Group Joint Stock Co has recently announced combined fiscal report in 2009 whereby in Q4 2009, the company earned 146.24 billion dong of revenue and 10.95 billion dong of after tax profit.
* Vietnam Automobile Manufacturer Association (VAMA) announced that the car sales of its members in January 2010 decreased by 53.8 percent against the previous month, at 6,961 units.
* The US-based Soros Fund, established by billionaire George Soros announced that the fund has planned to invest in Vietnam. However, the information on investment capital volume to be tapped in Vietnam's stock markets hasn't been revealed.
* Song Da Corp and its member companies announced its business plan in 2010. In addition to two large industrial projects in Hai Phong City, the corporation plans to focus on conducting 13 hydropower plants with designed capacity of 2,100 MW, in which there were seven hydropower plants to be built in the country with designed capacity of 290 MW and the other six ones in Laos and Cambodia of 1,717MW.
* Rang Dong Light Source & Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Co (coded RAL) expects to achieve total revenue of 1.3 trillion dong in 2010, with stable profit source similar with 2009, Ngo Ngoc Thanh, the company's chair of management board said.
* Simco Song Da Joint Stock Co (coded SDA) announced to realise its 2010 business plan of gaining 508 billion dong of production value; 262 billion dong of revenue; 42.9 billion dong of profit and dividend payment of 15 percent.
* Up to November 30, 2009, PVI Investment and Development Joint Stock Co (PVI Invest) reported to achieve 156.78 billion dong of revenue, and 14.44 billion dong of pre-tax profit, in which revenue from trading real estates counted for 62.56 billion dong, from financial investment and services of 22.2 billion dong and from other activities of 68.91 billion dong.
* Vietnam Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Co (STC coded VNI) will start work on two apartment buildings namely Vinaland Tower and Saigon South Centre in HCM City's Dist 7, according to the chair Tran Minh Hoang.
* Sonadezi Long Thanh Joint Stock Co (SZL) reported that in Q4 of 2009, it obtained 17.46 billion dong in revenue from sales and service provision, 16.76 billion dong in turnover from financial activities, and 1.47 billion dong in other revenues.
* During the first month this year, DIC Dong Tien Joint Stock Co (coded DID)'s pre tax profit was estimated at 800 million dong, eight fold increase against the same period last year.
* Vietnam Mechanisation Electrification & Construction Joint Stock Co (coded MCG) has recently announced that the company targets to earn 842.5 billion dong of revenue and 54 billion dong of after tax profit in 2010.
* Ministry of construction predicted that the country's demands for cement increased by 11 percent year-on-year to about 50-51.5 million tonnes.
* The construction on a new waste treatment plant was officially started in Tan Dong Commune, Thanh Hoa Dist, Long An province on February 5, 2010. The 300 billion-dong plant, sited on an area of 37 hectares, is expected to be put into operation in June 2011.
* Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) is planning to build and buy new ships with combined loading capacity of 350,000 tonnes, bringing to three million tonnes the total capacity of its cargo vessels. Vinalines will also start work on Da Nang City's Son Tra Port, the logistics depot of Can Tho City's Cai Cui Port, the container wharf of Khanh Hoa Province's Cam Ranh Port, and Quang Ninh Province's Cai Lan Port.
* Quang Nam Transport Joint Stock Co has been approved for subsidised funding from the provincial budget to transport air passengers on the Tam Ky City-Chu Lai Airport route this year.
* HCM City Food Co (Foocosa) has launched the sale of 5,000 tonnes of rice at 8,000-13,500 dong per kilogram for outskirt districts and remote areas of the city, Huynh Cong Thanh, director of the company said. Itwill also cut the prices of other foods by 15 percent-20 percent during the sale programme.
* Nissan Motor Vietnam Co Ltd is planning to launch the first domestic-assembled car, Grand Livina, a sedan model of the Nissan Livina series. The company has invested $10 million for the assembly plant of the car in Vietnam.
* Vinatex Mart chain under Vietnam Garment and Textile Group (Vinatex), has opened its ViantexMart My Tho covering 2,000 square metres in Tien Giang Province's My Tho City. The facility, showcasing 40,000 items, is the 56th of its chain nationwide.
* Petrolimex Jet Fuel Joint Stock Co has started providing oil and gas for the aviation industry at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, becoming the second air fuel provider in Vietnam after Vietnam Air Petrol Co (Vinapco). The US-based United Airlines and Japan's Japan Airlines were the new company's first jet fuel buyers at the airport.
* Hoa Phuong Railway Service Joint Stock Co and Hanoi Passenger Transport Joint Stock Co February 3 jointly inaugurated passenger transport service on the Hai Phong-Hanoi rail route. The new transport service with six cars linking Hai Phong and Long Bien railway stations will cost passengers 40,000 dong and 36,000 dong for A-grade and B-grade one-way tickets and serve four trips a day.
* Full Power Co (FPC) announced to end operation of its subsidiary, Beauty Stone Vietnam Co Ltd, in Dong Nai Province February 3.
* Sao Mai Construction Corporation (ASM) has sought permission to postpone its consolidated financial statement of the fourth quarter of 2009 as its subsidiaries have yet to turn out the results.
* Ha Do Co (HDG) has estimated to obtain 250 billion dong in after-tax profits in 2010, a 50 percent year-on-year increase.
* State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on February 5 ordered SJC Saigon Jewellery Co to sell SJC pieced gold to the market aiming to bring the domestic gold price suitable to the world's price band.
* Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (Bidv) is launching "Diem uu dai vang" programme for Bidv's credit card owners.
* Ending the fiscal year 2009, Kien Long Commercial Joint Stock Bank (KienLongBank) recently announced gaining over 120 billion dong of pre tax profit
* From now till April 11, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) will carry out a promotion programme to raise capital whereby depositors will enjoy a twin interest with two programmes "Loc vang nhan doi" and Mung xuan sang don loc vang".
* From February 3, Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) officially offered "Vui xuan don Tet, nhan ngay qua tang" promotion programme to dong depositors.
* Vietnam Tin Nghia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TinNghiaBank) has recently announced business results in 2009 and operation orientation for 2010.
* Bao Viet Commercial Joint Stock Bank (BaoVietBank) has recently announced that it mobilised 70 percent or 500 billion dong of the bank's target in the "Mung sinh nhat, don Tan nien" programme that was carried out from the end of December 2009 till the end of February, 2010.
* Vietnam International Commercial Bank has got permission from the State Securities Commission to issue shares to increase its chartered capital to 3 trillion dong.
* Hanoi Building Commercial Bank reached 505 billion dong in pre-tax profits in 2009, or 26 percent higher than last year's target.
