* Lilama Erection Mechanical Joint Stock Co (Lilamaemc) has been approved by Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) to list 3,265,155 shares, equal to its chartered capital of over 32 billion dong on the northern bourse.
* Vietnam Mechanisation Electrification and Construction Joint Stock Co (coded MCG) recently announced successfully issuing convertible bonds for the second phase of 2009.
* State Securities Commission (SSC) yesterday issued Official Letter No 450/UBCK-QLKD ordering securities companies to close all order receiving agents before April 10.
* Tu Liem Urban Development Joint Stock Co (NTL) announced that Vietnam Fund Management JSC (VFM) and relating organisations purchased total 177,700 NTL coded shares. In which, VFM picked 1,500 NTL shares, VF1 bought 60,950 shares, VF2 105,000 shares and VF4 10,250 shares into the urban developer.
* Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) announced that 5,082,700 shares of Da Nang Housing Investment and Development Joint Stock Co have already been sold in the auction held yesterday morning with initial share price of 10,000 dong per share.
* Education Cartography and Illustration Joint Stock Co (coded ECI) announced that February 26 would be the deadline for ECI shareholders to register for receiving 2009 dividend in cash.

* Song Da No 25 Joint Stock Company sold only 667,000 shares in an auction at the Hanoi Stock Exchange last Friday against the offering of 1.32 million shares. The average winning price was 14,601 dong per share against the starting price of 14,500 dong. The company obtained 9.7 billion dong from the auction.
* Asia-Pacific Securities Joint Stock Company has registered to trade 26 million shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
* Saigon Asia Finance Investment Co has registered to acquire four million shares of Vietnam Export Import Commercial Bank (EIB) to raise its ownership from 0.5 percent to 1 percent.

* Ry Ninh II Hydropower Joint Stock Co (HNX coded RHC) reported that in Q4 of 2009, the company earned 15.62 billion dong in revenue and 5.716 billion dong in profit after tax, lifting total figures of the full year to 40.58 billion dong (a growth of 11.73 percent from 2008's 36.32 billion dong) and 13.37 billion dong, up 14.73 percent year-on-year.

* Ba Ria Vung Tau Thermo Power Joint Stock Co (STC coded BTP) reported obtaining 1.483 trillion dong in 2009 revenue, surpassing 21.2 percent of the year's plan. Because the business and production cost was the same of the obtained revenue so 2009 pre-tax profit of BTP was 0.
* Four companies, including three seafood processors, have been put on the watch list of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange because of loss in 2009. They are Ben Tre Forestry and Aquaproduct Import Export (FBT), Basel Joint Stock Co (BAS), Nam Viet Joint Stock Company (ANV) and PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVT).
* The Taiwanese-owned Uni President Vietnam Co Ltd has started work on a $140 million foodstuff plant on 15 hectares in Dien Nam Industrial Zone in Quang Nam Province's Dien Ngoc District. The plant has an annual design capacity of 90,000 tonnes of wheat flour, 258,000 tonnes of foodstuff and 324,000 packs of instant noodles and is expected to employ 1,000 locals upon completion. Operational in Vietnam since 1999, Uni President has factories in Binh Duong, Ninh Thuan and Tien Giang and plans to build an instant noodles plant in Hanoi.
* Lilama 45.1 Joint Stock Co under Lilama Corp and the Korean contractor Samsung have jointly started the installation of the two carbon dioxide recovery towers at Phu My Urea Plant in Ba Ria-VungTau Province. The installation of the two towers with combined weight and height of 82 tonnes and 81 metres is scheduled for completion in August. Their daily capacity of240 tonnes of carbon dioxide will raise the annual capacity of the plant by 60,000 tonnes.
* Daewoo-Binh Khanh Co Ltd on Wednesday held the groundbreaking ceremony for a resettlement area worth $30 million on 38.4 hectares in Thu Thiem New Urban Area in HCM City's District 2. Once in place, the project will supply 6,200 apartments for displaced families of the city.
* Bach Dang Shipping Industry Corp under Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) and Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Co have opened and put into operation the Vinashin-Mitsubishi diesel engines plant in Hai Phong City. The plant, the first of its kind in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, is expected to produce and install engines with capacities of 2,600-23,500 KW with production output of 22 engines per year.
* Urban Trade and Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Co has had its investment license for a wind power project in Ba Tri District in the Mekong Delta's Ben Tre Province revoked by the provincial government. The revocation is due to slow progress.
* Colliers International Vietnam Co, the exclusive marketer of the Crown Office Building, and Tran Hong Quan Trade Co Ltd will inaugurate the project next quarter. The building, part of the $70 million Crown Plaza complex located on Le Duc Tho Street in Hanoi's districts of My Dinh and Tu Liem, will supply over 1.8 hectares of floor areas, of which about 1.25 hectares will be leased at $27 -30 per square metre per month once operational.
* Can Tho City-based Wilmar Agro Vietnam Co Ltd has replaced its coal-fueled boiler in Tien Giang Province's Cai Be District with a new one worth $625,000 powered by rice husks. The new boiler, applying Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS), a full-fledged carbon offset standard focusing on greenhouse gas emission reduction, has an hourly capacity of six tonnes of boil steam. With monthly consumption of 1,000-1,200 tonnes of rice husks, the new system will make use of the abundant source of rice husks in the Mekong Delta.
* Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Co Ltd has inked a deal with Norway's Det Norske Vertitas and Vietnam Energy Inspection Corp to register for two pumping stations of sour crude oil with hourly capacity of 432 cubic metres and two tanks with capacity of 65,000 cubic metres at Dung Quat Oil Refinery. The new facilities worth over $40 million will raise the storage capacity of the plant to 520,000 cubic metres of crude oil.
* VTC Digicon Co under Vietnam Multimedia Corp (VTC) has joined forces with the HCM City branch of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to provide the internet protocol television (IPTV) service under the brand of Saigon TV in the city. The new service with monthly fees of 40,000- 150,000 dong and requiring a set top box and internet connection will make available 70 TV channels, including a high definition channel (HDTV). IPTV provides television services through Internet Protocol (IP) networks. These IP networks initiate, process and receive voice or multimedia communications using Internet protocol.
* Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Co raked in over 155 billion dong from selling its products, of which 8.3 million dong was export turnover, via 5,000 outlets nationwide last month. It has inked deals with the Da Lat Institute of Biology and farmers in the provinces of Binh Thuan, Tien Giang and Long An to provide compact florescent light bulbs for flower and dragon fruit cultivation.
* Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals Joint Stock Co has inaugurated a cephalosporin plant worth 120 billion dong specialising in antibiotic medicine with annual capacity of one billion products in the Mekong Delta's Vinh Long Province. This is the fifth plant of the company licensed with the World Health Organization's Good Manufacturing Practice standard.
* Vietnam Industry and Trade Commercial Bank (Vietinbank – coded CTG) announced its combined business results in 2009, in which the bank reported gaining after tax profit of 752.3 billion dong in Q4 of 2009, increasing the accumulative profit of 1.191 trillion dong, a drop of 40 percent against 2008.
* An Binh Commercial Bank has kicked off a promotion programme for customers depositing gold in various terms from one to 36 months.
* Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank under FPT Corp has successfully linked up with Banknet, the biggest baking card alliance of Vietnam. From now on, the bank's debit card owners can make any transaction, including cash withdrawal, balance inquiry, transaction bill printing and money transfer, at 9,000 ATM stations under the two domestic card alliances of Smartlink and Banknet nationwide.
