Both bourses fall Mar 10

After five consecutive gains with high trading volume, both bourses today March 10 tumbled.

In particular, the index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) dropped 1.6 points or 0.3% to end at 525.67 pts with the total matching order trade of over 55.7 million shares worth over 2.515 trillion dong, increasing 8% in volume but decreasing 3% in value against the previous session.

Statistic showed that amongst 200 share codes and four fund certificates on the southern bourse, the market saw 77 shares increased with 21 reaching the ceiling price, 102 others decreased with two falling to the floor price and 35 remaining shares stood still at the comparative price.

Many key stock lost points today such as KBC, REE, VCB, VIC, SSI, STB, VNM. SJS, PVF, ITA and EIB meanwhile some others increased like DPM, PVD and HPG. FPT reached the ceiling price with 4,000 dong to 88,000 dong per share along with KSB, ASM, APC, VIS, HLA, GMD, DXG and ANV.

DQC and SAV slipped to the floor price today.

In terms of trading volume, GMD led the market with 3.41 million shares and followed by STB with 2.47 million, SSI 1.98 million and HLA, HAG, REE, SAM, VTO and FPT.

Like the southern bourse, the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) today also plunged after three gains as the HNX Index slipped 0.61 points or 0.35% to close at 172.09 pts with the total market trade of 38.27 million shares valued at over 1.285 trillion dong, up 15.3% in volume and 12.54% in value compared to the last session.

The market recorded 79 shares increased, 156 others decreased, 23 stood still and 10 with no trade.

As for trading volume, PVX reached 3.2 million shares, VCG 3.11 million, VGS 1.78 million, BVS 980,000, ACB 920,000 and VSP 710,000 shares being changed hands.
