Stock market goes down

The stock market today March 11 continued going down when the index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) lost another 1.03 points or 0.2 percent to end at 524.64 pts.

Trading volume also decreased to 51.3 million shares worth nearly 2.209 trillion dong, falling 8 percent in volume and 12 percent in value against the previous session.

The market recorded 96 shares decreased with three falling to the floor price, 82 others increased with 30 reaching the ceiling price and 37 shares stood still at the comparative price.

Key stocks increased such as SJS, HPG, HAG, ITA and FPT along with VIS, HLA, HMC, VST, VNA, APC, VIP, HDC and KSB meanwhile many other key stocks fell including REE, VIC, SSI, VNM, DPM and BVH and four bank shares.

As for trading volume, STB regained the pole place with 2.57 million shares and then SSI 1.9 million, VTO 1.84 million and HAG, HPG, HLA, SJS, ITA and SAM with over one million shares each.

Similarly, Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) today also saw another fall when the HNX Index dropped 0.55 points or 0.32 percent to close at 171.54 pts.

Total trading volume reached over 27.232 million shares valued at nearly 938 billion dong, down 30 percent in both volume and value in comparison with the last session.

Amongst 269 listed shares on the northern bourse, the market saw 127 shares increased, 106 others decreased, 30 stood still and six with no trade.

Many key stocks lost points such as ACB, BVS, PVI, PVS, PVX and KLS.

Big gainers were BDB, CIC, DL1, HCT, KKC, LUT, NST, PPG, SDA, SHN, SPP, SSM, TAG, TMX, TXM, VHL and VTV.

Share codes reached big trading volume including KLS with nearly 4.6 million, PVX nearly 2.1 million, VCG over 1.8 million shares and VGS with nearly 1.7 million shares being transferred.
