Notary services at commune level people’s committees

Under Decision 55/2005/QD-UB dated April 1, 2005 by the HCM City People’s Committee, rural and urban district level people’s committees will be permitted to notarise undefined documentary materials in Vietnamese and foreign language.
For documentary materials and educational and training certificates in foreign language, if a person wants to have them notarised, the person will have to have authorised notary public’s offices notarise his or her documentary materials and education and training certificates in foreign language.
Also under the above decision, the HCM City Service of Justice is authorised to make the registration of signatures of eligible and competent high ranking officials at commune level people’s committees and at the same time the city level justice service will have to regularly and closely check and regulate notary services of commune level people’s committees.
