The Novotel Garden Plaza Saigon has put to use 55 new guestrooms including seven suites to meet the increasing needs of business travellers.
Dang Dinh Quoc Bao, general manager of Garden Plaza Co Ltd, told reporters last Friday that the hotel marked the opening of new Orchid Club rooms by launching a promotion.
Guests pay from US$69 for one night in a Superior Club Deluxe room during the Accor-managed hotel’s promotional programme and US$78 from October 1.
The charge includes breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails in the BIZ Lounge, the use of a private meeting room for four hours, internet service for one hour, and the gym. Furthermore, they can check out as late as 4 p.m. instead of the usual noon.
Lionel Moinard, the hotel’s general manager, was confident that the new rooms would help draw more guests to the hotel on Nguyen Van Troi Street in HCM City’s Tan Binh District. “The Novotel brand is respected with our Asian corporate clientele in Vietnam and we expect the market response to our new Orchid Club rooms will be positive,” he said.
The new rooms are part of a US$3 million revamp of the four star hotel. Besides adding rooms, the revamp includes building a restaurant called Cherry Blossom.
Opened for business in 1997, the Novotel Garden Plaza Saigon reports a room occupancy rate of 70% for its 193 rooms and suites.
