NPT to put 42 important electricity grids into operation in 2012

National Power Transmission Corp (NPT) has recently said that with a total investment capital of 13.985 trillion dong, in 2012, NPT will operate 42 important power grids.

Particularly, some import electricity grid projects are 500 kV lines of Son La-Hiep Hoa, Phu My-Song May and Song May-Tan Dinh and increase the capacity for 500 kV Phu Lam substation phase 1.

In addition, there will be 220 kV lines synchronous with the power sources from hydropower plants of Ban Chat and Vung Ang 1, projects to ensure the electricity supply in the southern region in 2013 such as 220 kV line Dak Nong-Phuoc Long-Binh Long and projects to ensure electricity supply for Hanoi such as lines Ha Dong-Thanh Cong, 220 kV Thanh Cong substation and Van Tri-Soc Son line.

Additionally, NPT will also start construction on 57 500-220 kV electricity grid projects, focusing on 220 kV projects connected with Vinh Tan power centre, Duyen Hai and Mong Duong.
