October automobile sales up by 42%

According to Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), joint venture companies in October sold 4,836 automobiles, a year-on-year increase of 13%, up by nearly 42% against September. Overall, VAMA in January-October period sold 27,310 units, down by 10% compared with the same period last year.
Toyota Vietnam in October recorded the highest sales of 930 units, accounting for 19.1% of the market share, followed by Mitsubishi Vietnam with the sales of 826 units, accounting for 17%, and Ford Vietnam with the sales of 694 units, making up for 14.3%.
